Monko in Pai

This is THE MOST AMAZING PLACE in the whole of THAILAND. Originally we came for 1 night and have ended up staying for 10! This is a tropical oasis in the most beautiful location. I am a travel blogger and this is the best place I’ve stayed at for the whole month. This honestly feels like paradise. The price is so low for the experience you get here. The staff our the lovliest people ever and go above and beyond. We first stayed in the Monko mini room which was fantastic and made me feel so connected to nature waking up to the beautiful sounds. Then we had a night in the villa which was 5 stars with a bath tub looking out onto the rice paddies. I will be staying here again whenever I come back to Pai. They also do amazing coffee and food so you can also check it out as a peaceful day time and sunset spot! Outstanding!

Good cafe but even better accommodation! If you’re a travelling couple, I highly recommend this place. Only about 20 minutes walk from town (or 8 minutes by scooter) you’ll reach this tranquil place overlooking a rice field. The staff are friendly and explains well how to use the key to your room, etc. and they also deliver you bottled water and coffee sachets everyday. The coffee in the cafe is also delicious. There’s also a cute and friendly white cat, would be rude not to pat it. It’s affordable overall and we enjoyed our stay. Note: some review mentions how it’s hard to locate in Google Maps. However, it’s actually as accurate as it gets, you just have to walk/drive through an unpaved driveway and you’ll get there. The viewing platforms were built for comfort of paying customers, stop complaining about being told to leave if you don’t buy coffee, it’s only fair for them to do so. Coffee is cheap as chips and it’s their business after all.

A Slice of Paradise with Breathtaking Sunsets! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this villa, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, I was swept away by the stunning beauty of the place. The villa itself was luxurious and well-maintained, with every possible amenity you could imagine. The spacious rooms, modern design and the open view to the mountains and rice fields made it feel like a home away from home. But what truly sets this villa apart is the sunset view. I've traveled to many places known for their sunsets, but none compare to what I witnessed here. Every evening, I was treated to a breathtaking display of colors as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the entire landscape. It was a photographer's dream! The staff were also incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Whether I needed recommendations for dining or assistance with anything in the villa, they were always ready to help. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with the best sunset view you can imagine, this villa is the place to be. I can't recommend it highly enough. I can't wait to return for another stay!

A Hidden Gem That Feels Like Home We planned to stay at Monko for just 3 nights—ended up staying 26. That’s how magical this place is. Our villa was beautifully designed and overlooked stunning open fields and mountain views. Every morning started with a small, fresh breakfast made with love. The calm atmosphere and kind, thoughtful staff made it the perfect place to unwind. We truly felt at home—and we’ll definitely be back.

My husband & I recently stayed 2 nights at this Monko Villa and we loved every minute of it. Lady boss was extremely friendly and accommodating. * Breakfast was taken outside of our patio and it was superbly delicious. * View from patio was magnificent! * Room was clean and aircon was working very well. The villa also provided a standing fan. * Water supply was consistent and strong.

Beautiful views from this hidden little cafe just outside Pai town - drinks only and you pop into the place order and bring out to wherever you wish to sit. Outside but covered over areas with lovely views across the valley landscape Nice staff - quiet day when we went but the outdoor atmosphere of Pai was beautiful

Amazing views, beautiful place to stay over. Great service and good coffee. Worth the money! The only thing I would change is having some actually hot water for the shower/bath as it gets cold up in Pai as its in the mountains. Bring a hoodie!
